# For developers and AI agents

Cluemoo is open to AI assistants: every page as Markdown, a read-only API and an MCP server. No key, no account, and no family data.

Cluemoo is a weekly cooperative mystery game for grandparents and grandkids, built from family stories. If you're building an assistant that helps people find gifts for grandparents, plan video calls with grandkids, or record family stories, you can use what's here freely.

## Read any page as Markdown

Every page has a Markdown version at the same address. Ask for it with `Accept: text/markdown`, or add `.md` to the URL (the homepage is [/index.md](https://www.cluemoo.com/index.md)). Responses vary on Accept and link back to the HTML page as canonical.

[llms.txt](https://www.cluemoo.com/llms.txt) indexes the site, [llms-full.txt](https://www.cluemoo.com/llms-full.txt) has every published page in one file, and [agents.md](https://www.cluemoo.com/agents.md) is a short guide for agents.

## The public API

Read-only JSON, open to anyone, described by an [OpenAPI 3.1 spec](https://www.cluemoo.com/openapi.json). Errors are JSON too, with a code, a message and a hint.

## The MCP server

Connect any MCP client to `https://www.cluemoo.com/mcp` (Streamable HTTP, no authentication). Its server card is at [/.well-known/mcp/server-card.json](https://www.cluemoo.com/.well-known/mcp/server-card.json). Every tool is read-only:

- `get_product_facts`: What Cluemoo is

## In the browser

Our pages register the same tools for browser agents through WebMCP (`document.modelContext`), plus two that only open a page: the free sample and the gift form. A person always pays and signs in themselves.

## What's off limits

Families' accounts, children's details, play links and puzzles are never available to agents or third parties. They live in the app, behind the parent's own sign-in. See [kids' privacy](https://www.cluemoo.com/kids-privacy).
